What a week
What a week this has been! We traveled home from our families home in northern Mn with two VERY crabby kids having to make an unexpected overnight stop to get them out of the car! Came home the next day and my husband got sick, following day my son got sick, then me, now my daughter! Had a ton of stuff to do this week that just didn't get done...It was great to see family but I now feel so behind!

Nana
I am fortunate enough to still have all of my grandparents living. I have, however, lost some of my great grandparents. The one that comes to my mind first is my Nana. She was a small sweet woman who had a feisty side that you didn't want directed at you! Her house was always cozy and welcoming aside from the little barking dogs. You got used to them though, they were just a part of her. I can't describe her home's smell, I could never quite pinpoint it. It was warm, comforting, and inviting. When we would go to visit her she would always ask me, "Would you like to have a party?" Then she'd set me at the island in her kitchen with peanuts and soda. That is something I always looked forward to. To this day my family has "parties" every weekend. It may not be at Nana's island but just eating yummy food surrounded by family reminds me of her.

Lead Me...
The song Lead Me by Sanctus Real is a very inspirational song to me. My husband introduced me to it about a month ago and every time I hear it, it gives me goose bumps. It talks about marriage, children, and your relationship with God. We all have our own struggles in life and I know from personal experience if we bring them to God the outcome can be extraordinary. I recommend listening to it if you've never heard it...My husband says it is his daily prayer.
"Father give me the strength to be everything I'm called to be
Father show me the way to lead them
Won't you lead me
To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't wanna leave them hungry for love chasing things that I could give up
To show them I'm willing to fight
Give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me cause I can't do this alone
Father lead me cause I can't do this alone"
"Father give me the strength to be everything I'm called to be
Father show me the way to lead them
Won't you lead me
To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't wanna leave them hungry for love chasing things that I could give up
To show them I'm willing to fight
Give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me cause I can't do this alone
Father lead me cause I can't do this alone"

Week's end
I am feeling much more on track with things now that the week is at it's end. I think I am getting the hang of things on the school site. I am feeling that this is going to be a good semester! I took my children with me to get my school books this week, my son really enjoyed going to mommy's school! He did however pick up a used floss pick off of the ground thinking it was a tool. Yuck!

New beginning
School officially started last week, I am getting to it today. August was such a crazy month between construction on our home (which is still ongoing), extreme temperatures, traveling for my husband's job, the study my husband was doing, and our normal everyday stuff I'm exhausted! I feel like I'm so far behind on everything and no matter what I do I just can't get everything done. It's a new month, a new beginning! I'm going to start fresh and try to stay on top of things from here on out!
